The junior economists of bad kissingen were guests at L+S AG in bad bocklet. First of all, dr. Frank bottcher introduces the society. The company was founded in 1987 under the name "labor L+S gmbh" by dr. Rudiger leimbeck and prof. Bernd sonnenschein; at that time, microbiological and biological testing of pharmaceuticals and other products was carried out on only 400 square meters and with 28 employees. In the meantime, more than 420 employees work at labor L+S AG.
Dr. Maximilian schlicht, head of quality control and head of the testing department, spoke enthusiastically about the latest extension, which has now been completed and for which ground was broken in june 2015. For the office and laboratory space of 7000 square meters, there was no model to follow, since a laboratory of this size did not exist in europe. The entire construction had to be completed under consideration of the special requirements (clean rooms, etc.).) will be completely redesigned. In the field of microbiology, L+S AG is the largest contract laboratory of its kind in europe, performing 1 million analyses per year on more than 250,000 samples.
Bottcher and schlicht explained to the young employees and managers how sterility testing is carried out and what has to be taken into account in laboratory activities.
