Betty and gunter koch from volkach celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Their four sons joachim, thomas, matthias and michael and their families, including three grandchildren, congratulated them on their iron wedding anniversary. Mayor peter kornell congratulated the trained tailor and the master watchmaker, who had married in 1954 in the town parish church of volkach.

Betty koch came on 4. August 1930 in volkach to the world. She was the older of two daughters of anna and fritz lottholz. After graduating from elementary school, she completed a year of home economics at the st. Maria in volkach. She learned the profession of dressmaker, which she pursued as a self-employed person after completing her apprenticeship. Beside family and household she worked regularly in the watch, jewelry and photo business of her husband in the old town of volkach.

34 citizens from the town of lichtenfels were honored for donating blood 50, 75, 100 and 125 times at a joint event held by the town of lichtenfels and the red cross at the muller guesthouse in reundorf.

District administrator christian meibner paid respect and recognition to the blood donors for their decades of willingness to donate blood. In doing so, they rendered a great service to many sick or injured people in the spirit of charity. The district of lichtenfels has proven itself for many years as a blood donor stronghold in bavaria, for which the red cross is very grateful and this makes him naturally as BRK district chairman particularly proud. In lichtenfels alone, 2059 men and women donated half a liter of blood at six events in the town hall and one event in the vocational school, including 120 first-time donors, who are important for the continued existence of the blood donation system.

Monika hufnagel thanked everyone for their voluntary work and wished the newly elected members much joy in their service to the parish.
A special tribute was paid to the outgoing parish council chairwoman rosi kast, who had been a member of the council since 1986 15 years of organizing the church in winkels with a lot of heart and soul as chairwoman. She received the pin of honor from the wurzburg bishopric for her self-sacrificing work. In her many years of service, she has seen 15 chaplains and three deans. She planned the 60th anniversary of the church and the 750th anniversary of the district. During her time, regular parish afternoons were held in the jahnhalle, cozy evenings in the old school, fronleichnams masses at the playground, etc. She organized two benefit concerts with the postkapelle and femina musica for the benefit of the church roof renovation. The community thanked rosi kast for her service with long applause.

German and international songs, accompanied by readings that made people smile, were the focus of the christmas concert of the altenkunstadt choir association on saturday in the coarse dining room of the friedrich-baur senior citizens center sankt kunigund. The taste of the audience was also met by performances of young interpreters of the music school of the school association altenkunstadt/burgkunstadt/weismain.

An appreciative audience

In the residents of the home as well as the many guests and music lovers, the performers found an audience that was as open-minded as it was appreciative. "It would have been a great pleasure for us if we could give them a little christmas joy with our songs", explained the chairman of the singing club singgemeinschaft, georg pitteroff. The audience liked what the singers and instrumentalists performed for 80 minutes.
