Free state provides 68000 euros for Bavarian health spa

The state of bavaria calls for the "smart health cities" pilot project with 68000 euro. This is to finance digitization strategy. But the state parliament still has to give final approval to the decision. This was announced by memmingen’s member of the state parliament and chairman of the bavarian medical association, klaus holetschek (CSU). After a successful test phase, the insights gained could be applied to all the heilbader in bavaria.

The chairman of the economic committee, sandro kirchner (CSU), also emphasizes that the bavarian health resorts and spas – especially the local spas of bad kissingen, bad bocklet and bad bruckenau – are predestined to be developed into innovative health centers.

Smart technology in health resorts

For some time now, the spas and health resorts have been pursuing a digitalization strategy for modern marketing and customer acquisition together with the bavarian spas association, for example with a health finder as part of the website, apps for mobile devices or, most recently, with a so-called chatbot. This refers to the communication of customers with a technical system.

Holetschek emphasized: "overall, the project is a sensible addition to the digitalization strategy already pursued by the bavarian spa association, leads to comprehensive support for guests before and after their stay and expands the product range of the individual resorts in accordance with their core competencies.".
