The orchestra school pressig-stockheim invites on friday, 12. July, from 18.30 o'clock to the end-of-year concert in the parish hall posseck. Admission is at 6 pm. The musical direction is andreas thiel. A total of 40 up-and-coming musicians take part in the various performances.
Among others, there will be brass players, woodwind players, percussionists, soloists and natural ensembles on stage. The performances of the "musical early education" are meanwhile a fixed part of the program directed by julia fischer and miriam baierlipp. Donations benefit the youth cause. After its foundation in march 1999, the orchestra school has gradually become an integral part of the cultural life of the sub-center of pressig-stockheim. This year the orchestra school looks back on its twentieth anniversary. Stockheim's mayor rainer detsch says: "this musical educational institution is a success story." finally, numerous concert highlights were offered in the last years. Above all, the music bands from the municipal areas of pressig and stockheim have benefited considerably from these activities in terms of their work with young musicians.
Responsible for the orchestra school is chairman matthias grebner (grossau), eugen rebhan from neukenroth is organizational leader. Miriam baierlipp (stockheim) and meike steiger (neukenroth) have also taken over the management of the business. Matthias grebner: "the orchestra school is well aligned overall." the goal is to be able to offer high-quality training at moderate costs. For the school year 2019/20, the foundation of a school choir is planned. The training offer: woodwind and brass instruments, keyboard and string instruments, percussion, singing, individual and group lessons. Another focus is on early musical education for children from four to six years old. On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary the following events are planned: saturday, 7. September, from 4 to 6 p.M. At the pressiger school taster afternoon, sunday, 13. October, central festive event in the neukenrother zecherhalle.
